How successful is the uptake of technology based tools in the Middle East FM market right now?

The Middle East FM Market is rapidly embracing technology and embarking on the path of digital transformation of their operations. The players across all market segments are strengthening their digital governance tools to boost SLA compliance, achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, and enhance cost efficiencies thanks to the diverse spread of FM tools and solutions available within the local markets. The transformation embraces all platforms ranging from CAFM solutions to technician and end-client mobility solutions as well as automated workflow-based system automation tools as well. Further, in today’s era, integrating multiple systems such as BMS (Building Management Systems) and CAFM (Computer-Aided Facilities Management) systems is also rapidly becoming the norm, creating further opportunity of providing exceptional service levels to their end customers.

If you were to pitch technology based tools to FM professionals, how would you sell it?

FM Professionals need to see the value-proposition from the perspective of “bang for buck”, and how it either increases customer satisfaction, or reduces cost; often times preferably both. As long as the FM tools pitched can successfully demonstrate stronger governance of business processes across the FM service provisioning, and at the right price points, which, in turn, boost customer satisfaction, the FM professionals will rapidly embrace technology.

What are the top 3 tech trends in the Tech FM industry according to you?

The three top trends in tech currently revolve around automated CAFM system deployment with robust SLAs and process governance controls, BMS integration systems and mobility solutions. These are the three areas wherein the Tech FM industry is currently investing the most.

What do these mean for your company?

Why is there demand for them in the Dubai/Middle East?

Dubai and the Middle East markets have long-since established themselves as trendsetters in the space of real estate development and maintenance. The skyline of the region is itself a testament to the dedication and commitment of the region in providing state-of-the-art real estate assets which are the envy of the globe. In addition, the government mandate of Dubai being a “Smart City”, coupled with the high standards of customer service and excellence that the region demands further drives the need for smart, proactive and robust solutions within the FM domain.

How will the exhibition help you to grow business in the UAE?

The FM Expo has established itself as a key meeting point for all the FM players within the ME region.
