60 seconds with Thierry Mignot, Chairman - Flovea
Flovea will be exhibiting its latest products at The Big 5 in Dubai next November. We spoke to the Chairman, Thierry Mignot; here's what he told us as he prepares to participate to the the largest construction event in the Middle East.
What are the major opportunities you spot in the UAE construction industry?
The United Arab Emirates represents the most active and significant cradle in terms of construction and urban development, which is now known to be weighted and controlled.
What are the major growth drivers for the construction industry in the UAE?
Increasingly concerned with their environment and energy control, all technical innovations aimed at protecting and saving these resources will be of major interest to the Emirates.
According to you, what are today’s top 3 trends in the construction industry?
1. Digital Construction (BIM) before physical construction
2. Industrialisation of constructive solutions
3. Total autonomy of each building in order to facilitate the preservation of natural resources
How do you think the construction industry will evolve in the next years?
Developments, from our point of view, will be coming from the improvement of coordination between a total digital construction and the actual physical realization of buildings.
Are there any innovative Products/Solutions your company has developed? Please provide details.
Our company has based its activity on innovative solutions from water distribution equipments to home automation devices.
Why are they innovative?
The water distribution equipments are innovative because they enable a great gain of time and money on site by providing a ready-to-install item. For instance, our most successful product is a boiler backboard that has all copper tubes already installed and waiting to be simply connected to the hydraulic distribution system. Usually, plumbers on site have to manually install each separate tubes with specific tools which demands particular skills.
Our home automation device is also a time and money saver as it provides a hassle free installation and a direct and real-time reading of a household’s consumption from a mobile app. It also prevents any sort of leakage on the hydraulic distribution system and is able to sense water contamination on each specific equipment. For the first time, FLOWBOX Interactive makes a housing complex’s hydraulic distribution connectivity possible.
What products will you present at The Big 5 Show this year?
This year, we will be showcasing FLOWBOX Interactive for the first time in the Middle East. Environmental issues are part of our company’s concerns since its creation. We feel the urge to change consumer behavior and habits by providing connected and eco-responsible tools that enable the evolution of smart homes. This innovative product complements the rest of our production, which aims to facilitate the daily lives of professionals and ensure time and cost savings. The Middle East is a region of the world that is facing high humidity and high heat, but also sand particles in the air. With our product we will contribute into improving the living conditions of the inhabitants, but also to encourage an eco-friendly lifestyle.
