FACILITIES MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS TO BENEFIT FROM RECORD FREE EDUCATION OFFERING AT LEADING INDUSTRY EXPO
FM EXPO 2018 will run from 23-25 September at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The 13th edition of FM EXPO will offer a record number of education opportunities to facilities management professionals in the Middle East this year, announce event organisers dmg events.
This news comes on the back of their latest Facilities Management Business Confidence Monitor, developed in collaboration with the British Institute for Facilities Management (BIFM). The report shows that emerging technologies are becoming crucial to meet market demands, especially as the built environment is coming under increasing pressure to perform better, use less energy and be more sustainable.
To be effective, FM professionals will have to acquire more skills and knowledge, enabling their teams to deliver above and beyond the expectations of their customers.
According to the report, 91% of FM professionals will use technology, and Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) in particular, to grow their business further. Sustainability is mentioned as the biggest new trend in FM, closely followed by IoT (Internet of Things). The convergence of these two factors, the report forecasts, is where FM could make the biggest gains going forward.
Nathan Waugh, Portfolio Director for FM EXPO comments:
“Acquiring new skills and knowledge is of critical importance in the local FM sector. Professionals here can see the market maturing and they are eager to ensure that they keep pace with the latest global developments.”
He adds:
“It is because of this that we will have over four times the number of workshops at this year’s edition of FM EXPO compared to 2017. On top of that we are excited to kick-off our Waste & Recycling Summit to help professionals navigate upcoming trends in GCC waste management sector.”
FM EXPO will feature more than 50 free to attend CPD certified workshops, set to reveal dominant trends in the market and to stimulate the exchange of ideas across topics like smart cities management and cost effective practices.
The Waste and Recycling Summit 2018 will host the decision makers who are shaping waste management in the Middle East and will offer a world-class program to attendees.
Habiba Al Marashi, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Co-founder of Emirates Green Building Council comments on the summit:
“Hosting key decision makers, the Waste and Recycling Summit 2018 is an ideal platform for professionals in this sector to shape the future of the industry."
She adds,
"The FM Expo will also go a long way in promoting a greener built environment, which is an integral part of the sustainable development plan envisioned by the UAE leadership.
At Emirates Green Building Council, we work extensively with FM companies to strengthen awareness of initiatives to enhance energy and water efficiency, while reducing the environmental footprint. We are confident that the event will promote stronger engagement by the industry at large to embrace greener models in FM.”
Visitors at FM EXPO will also benefit from both local and international exhibitors showcasing a broad range of product and service solutions from 23-25 September 2018 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. 84% of visitors to the 2017 edition successfully sourced new products, suppliers and vendors.
