FM PROFESSIONALS GEAR UP FOR THE INDUSTRY’S MOST AWAITED CONGRESS
FM Expo’s Facilities Management Congress Middle East to kick-off on 25-26 September at the Dubai World Trade Center
Thursday, September 14, 2017 — Expectation grows among facilities management professionals as organisers of FM Expo announce this year’s impressive keynotes line up. On 25 and 26 September, the largest FM event in the region brings back to the Dubai World Trade Centre the industry’s most awaited high-level conference, the Facilities Management Congress Middle East.
“We are proud to bring together the sector’s most respected experts to address the current challenges in facilities management and advance the whole industry by facilitating the exchange of ideas, best practices, and know-how,” says Alexis Wheatley, Event Director of FM Expo. “The two-day conference will address the FM sector’s major issues, while putting a spotlight on emerging trends, like I.o.T., Big Data, and technological innovations, which are crucial industry drivers.”
Energy efficiency will be also a major theme at the Facilities Management Congress Middle East. On Day One, Elie Matar, Head of Electricity at the Dubai Regulatory & Supervisory Bureau, will discuss the Bureau’s approach and the newest regulations impacting the built environment, while case studies will unveil industry best practices, including the Dubai Mall’s Energy Centered Maintenance Model.
With the total life cycle cost and the total cost of ownership being some of the industry’s hottest topics, the importance of early FM involvement in the project design will be addressed by prominent speakers like ICD Brant Fletcher, Brookfield’s Operations Director, Chris Dixon, Technical Operations Director at Majid Al Futtaim Properties, and Richard Naylor, Chief Executive KSA at Cushman & Wakefield.
Naylor, who will unveil FM Best Practice for the world’s tallest buildings, the Jeddah Tower, comments: “My presentation will reinforce the value of introducing FM practitioners as early as possible into the design process of any new development, as well as demonstrating the potential lifecycle savings that can be achieved through this early engagement.”
With the Facilities Management Congress Middle East providing FM professionals, developers, and asset managers unique macro level insights on the industry’s present and future, technical workshops will be offered on the last day of FM Expo 2017, September 27. “The free to attend workshops will dig deeper into FM’s critical topics, like best practices for legionella,” says Wheatley.
FM EXPO 2017 will be held from 25-27 September at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Hall 3. Both local and international exhibitors will be showcasing the latest facilities management products and solutions with a focus on increased customer demands for reduced costs and improved services.
The biggest dedicated FM show in the Middle East is supported by Platinum Sponsor Advanced Integrated Services, a versatile group of support service companies that provide customized and turnkey solutions to businesses across the region.
Organised by dmg events Middle East, Asia & Africa, FM EXPO 2017 is co-located with The Big 5 Outdoor Design & Build Show, Windows, Doors & Facades Event, and Gulf Glass.
