  • The ‘RTA Innovation in BIM Summit’ will be held at The Big 5 Heavy for one day only from 11:45 -17:00 hrs. on 27th November 2018 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
  • The Big 5 Heavy will host local and international industry leaders along with over 50 free-to-attend education workshops from 26-29 November 2018 at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Run by the Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai (RTA), and in partnership with the British Standards Institute (BSI), the ‘RTA Innovation in BIM Summit’ will host industry leaders to shed light on the adoption and future trends of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the UAE.

Saeed Alramsi, Asset Management Director from the Roads and Transport Authority comments: “Dubai Roads and Transport Authority is on a quest to build a digitalized, trusted, and structured platform and process to optimize the information management of its assets throughout their life cycle with the close coordination, and collaboration of stakeholders.”
Alramsi adds: “To achieve that, we have launched a comprehensive program with a detailed and robust road map to implement a progressive adaptation of BIM within the RTA’s environment and to ensure a pragmatic program that can be implemented across the entire supply chain.”

The first international organization to fulfill the BIM Level 2 Certification against PAS and BS in the BIM Suite, the RTA has contributed in developing and launching two internationally recognized Kitemarks in partnership with BSI – namely ‘Opex Phase’ (1192-3) and ‘Information Security’ (1192-5).

Now presenting at The Big 5 Heavy, event organisers dmg events along with RTA and BSI anticipate over 250 visitors to attend the ‘RTA Innovation in BIM Summit’. Visitors will represent companies such as DEWA, Besix, Arabtec, Parsons, Al Futtaim Construction, CCC, China State Construction, Six Construct, MAF Properties, Belhasa, Kier Grop, BAM International and Dar Al Handash.

Fiona Korte, General Manager META region at the British Standards Institution says: “BSI are pleased to present alongside the RTA once again in support of BIM adoption in the UAE.”
She adds: “As the Middle East’s leading event dedicated to infrastructure, The Big 5 Heavy is an ideal platform for us to engage with industry professionals, and share the latest developments in standards and solutions to support BIM adoption and the integration within the wider digitalization of the Built Environment”

Running from 11:45 -17:00 hrs on 27 November 2108 at Dubai World Trade Centre, the free-to-attend summit will also be CPD (Continuing Professional Development) certified.
