The region’s only dedicated trade fair for urban, green and open spaces, The Big 5 Outdoor Design & Build Show, will return in 2018 as ‘Urban Design & Landscaping Expo’ alongside Middle East’s largest construction event, The Big 5, organiser dmg events, Middle East, Asia & Africa announced.
“Recording a 76% increase in visitors’ attendance, the success of the last Big 5 Outdoor Design & Build Show is yet another testimony of the booming regional outdoor and landscaping industry,” said Josine Heijmans, Portfolio Event Director at dmg events.
Aiming to climb higher in rankings on the world's walkability and livability index, both Dubai and Abu Dhabi are reshaping neighborhoods and urban spaces to offer healthier lifestyle options to residents and tourists alike. With over US$ 1,744 billion worth of active building projects, the GCC region, already one of the most urbanized areas of the world, is driving an unprecedented demand for outdoor design and landscaping solutions.
Ms Heijmans commented: “The Urban Design & Landscaping Expo will offer an enhanced platform to the growing landscaping, infrastructure & urban development industry, with innovative design, construction and maintenance solutions for public and green spaces, sports grounds and playgrounds. Showcasing thousands of products for the outdoor built environment, the event will perfectly complement our flagship construction show, The Big 5.”
